Abhyangam:
Abhyangam is an oil massage, recommended for increasing flexibility of
muscles and joints, rejuvenating skin, and keeping impurities from
accumulating in the body by stimulating various tissues. Abhyangam
increases the production of white blood corpuscles and antibodies, which
provide more resistance against viruses and diseases. This helps the
defence mechanism in the body and increases immunity towards
environmental changes. In this way massage is a protector, preserver and
a rejuvenator, increasing self-confidence and will power. Also relieves
fatigue, promotes the eyesight, longevity, sleep and nourishes the body.
Udwardhanam:
Udwardhanam is the treatment where in the massage is done with powders
of medicines The powder is rubbed forcibly on the body in upward
direction. Other procedures are same as the Uzchil, described earlier.
Udwardhanam provides therapeutic effects for Obesity, Dullness of body
and mind, and also very effective for proper blood supply etc.
Udwardhanam is an invigorating full body massage using herbal powder (choornam)
instead of oil. This treatment is good for diseases such as diabetic
neuropathy, paralysis, obesity, skin care, sciatica, indigestion and
sclerosis of blood vessels. The massage activates the nerves and
increases blood flow to the affected body part. Udwardhanam massage is
also important to preserve health. As massage stimulates blood flow
activates, revitalizes and restores the body, thus preserving their
strength, skin texture, and natural elasticity. It is known to be
effective at certain skin diseases. The reduction of fat is an important

Vasti:
Ayurvedic Vasti involves the injection of herbal concoctions or certain
herbal preparations in a liquid medium into the rectum. Vasti treatment
is used to eliminate the vata (air) dosha out through the rectum as
vata's predominant site is the colon. Vasti is a very effective
cleansing process. It rejuvenates the body and alleviates constipation,
distention, chronic fever, the common cold, sexual disorders, kidney
stones, heart pain, vomiting, backache, neck pain, hyperacidity ...etc.
In simple terms, Vasti means medicated enema. It washes out all your
toxins through the digestive tract. The medicinal preparation is
introduced into the bowel through the anus. The medicine pulls out the
toxins from the entire body channels into the bowels, which are then
expelled out of the body. Vasti is very effective for constipation,
chronic fever, sexual disorders, kidney stones, piles, backache, and
hyper acidity.
Please make sure that you do not have thyroid and hormone imbalance
problem, in that case the reduction in weight will be a slow process.
